The notion that sex sells is one by which nearly all advertising agencies abide. However, in recent years, marketers have begun to take this theory to an extreme. Such is the case with Malaysian airline company Firefly, which received large amounts of criticism after engaging in a distasteful ad campaign several months ago. Of the two pictures which it published, one (posted above) shows the backside of a female flight attendant upon which are imprinted the words "50% off".

Past or present there has always been controversy regarding the treatment of prisoners and whether or not they should be rehabilitated. It is often said, criminals in prison come out of jail only to be better criminals, which exposes the flaws within our correctional system. The aim should not only be to punish, but also to help them reintegrate into the real world with the goal to be better. Criminal rehabilitation is positive for our society and worker programs should be implemented into our penal system.

One of the biggest dilemmas that is facing current society is abortion. Many wonder whether if it is morally right to kill an unborn fetus as some view equally to killing a person. In general, the public’s response is either for it or against it with a small portion undecided (BBC News). The debate over the ethical viability of abortion has been complicated but from a utilitarianism ethical framework, the outcomes and the overall health of the birth mother is what matters.
