Comparing Canada and India

Political struggles are seen throughout history and remain to this day. They vary from country to country, but the causes are always the same. Language and religion are what drive countries apart. India has a majority of Hindu worshipers, but also a large number of Muslims. Mohandas Ghandi was the leader of the Hindu people while Muhammed Ali Jinnah was the leader of the Muslims. The two of them had opposing ideologies much like how Canada is today, if we compare Canada and India. India has Hindus and Muslims as the two opposing sides and Canada has the English and the French.

Comparison India/Pakistan and Quebec/Canada

Over the last centuries, India/Pakistan and Quebec/Canada have experienced very similar situations. For instance, the British conquered them both, which made Muslims and Hindus evolve together just like Quebecers and English Canadians did at a certain point in time due to the British colonialism/imperialism (Gandhi). Following these events, those different countries and their different nationalist movements have experienced political, social, cultural, and spiritual problems dealing with the phenomena of majority and minority.

The Importance of Integrity

First, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Karolane Rondeau, and I’m a third year Business Management student at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal in Montréal city.

This is an ethical company because they were aware of the need to protect the environment and they chose to make the necessary efforts to create an eco-friendly rubber.

Identities within Personal Identities

There is an increasing amount of research and publications on studies that follow, track, and record the various gender identities of human beings. Interestingly enough, a research study by Kuper, Nussbaum and Mustanki has found that there are infinite amounts of genders. With the last five to ten years, there has been an outcry by the Transgender and Queer community to realize the existence of other Genders and to realize the importance.

Religion's place in society

In the vast spectrum of cultures present today in Quebec, is it hard to find common grounds and draw a line between what is acceptable and what should be avoided at all cost. We do thrive to accept and acknowledge different religions, yet it is hard to accommodate in total equality. I believe that debating over religion is unavoidable, being that we cannot satisfy the needs of everybody. Then, where should we draw the line?  Firstly, I believe that the freedom of belief is an important aspect of our multicultural society, as it concerns the rights of everybody and it should be respected.
