In this article, we manage to understand that most people who get diagnosed with cancer face fear, anxiety and panic. The Canadian Cancer Society as like vision, creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer. In other words, help all those people who are fighting with fear. These people need company and help trough this hard moment, the CCS is there to put away all this fear.


The Canadian Cancer Society’s (CCS) vision is creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer, since 1938. Their mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer, to accompany, help these people trough the hard moment they are living. The organization propose the value of courage, the determination and drive of volunteers in the organization led to positive change; integrity, always honest and ethical in anything that is done by the CCS; and progressive, the history of learning each and every single day as the organization strive continuous development at so many levels.


To this day, in 2017, the Canadian Cancer Society is providing ongoing funding and also support to three centre-based research initiatives: the Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control (ARCC), the Propel Centre for Population Health Impact and the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG).


For those who would like to help, volunteer, there are some opportunities to get involve, for both adult and youth. Volunteer brings hope, energy and also excitements for a future where no one in Canada fears cancer in their life time. There are plenty of way to get involve in the Canadian Cancer Society organization, such as fundraising opportunities, which include the Daffodil Month (in April), the Relay For Life, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There are also the leadership opportunities, you can join the Youth Troop, it is representing your fellow peers and your school. In order to attempt these volunteer opportunities if you are interest in these is to fill a “Student volunteer application form”.
