Volunteer Opportunity at Oxfam Québec

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share an amazing volunteering opportunity in Montreal with you. This opportunity takes place in the organization called Oxfam.

First, what is Oxfam?

Oxfam is a major organization worldwide. Women’s right and fighting against poverty are their two major values. They aim to empower the population in order to be able to build a world without poverty. They believe that all human beings are equal, deserve to live in the same conditions and enjoy their full human rights.

If you are interested, you have three major volunteering opportunities in this organization.

Firstly, you can create your own Oxfam group in your school with your friends. They will provide everything you need for you to promote their campaigns. You will then talk to your classmates about the organization and what can be done to decrease the poverty in the world.

Secondly, you can take part of their monthly meeting. You will then hear from people around the world and you will take part of the majority of their activities.

Thirdly, if you are not available on a regular basis, you can help them out with their annual Marche Monde taken place on May 6th in Montreal. They will need many volunteers for both security and animation.

If any of these three volunteering opportunities interest you, you can join Catherine Caron! Here’s is her e-mail: CaronC@oxfam.qc.ca . You can also join her at 514-905-1078. She will be very pleased to tell you more about their volunteering opportunities!
