Schizophrenia is a serious brain disorder that which people interpret reality abnormally. Schizophernia can result in various ways, there can be a combination of hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behaviour.
In Regina, Saskatchwan, Rollie Buck, 21, pleaded guilty this year at Prince Albert Provinicial Court to two counts each of theft under $5,000, aswell as the second count which is breaching his probortion order. Rollie Buck is living with the mental illness Schiznophernia, and the Court of Appeal will not interfere with Rollie's sentence due to the fact of his mental health. The judge also took a say on recommending steps be taken to fully take in the man's mental health issues and homelessness, in order to make a switch back into society once he is relased from custody. The court sentenced treatment, not punishment. The court realized that Rollie Buck does not have access to community benefits since he does not have a permanent address, therfore the court also recommended Buck to revice help but accessing commuity supports to prevent Buck from becoming homeless, and reoffending. Rollie Buck has also spoken to the judge, and gave the location of a laptop which he stole and sold on the street for $200, and contacted the buyer and gave it back to the original owner.
