In the article “THE TEACH-IN ON GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTIONS AND VYGOTSKY: FOSTERING ECOLOGICAL ACTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL CITIZENSHIP”, the author states that the solution for global warming is part of a larger socio-environmental movement concerned with combating climate change. The article presents and examines the socio-environmental movement talked about in this article, using as example a local event at University of Calgary. The article also discuss that conceptual ideas of Vygotsky which has a direct link to the socio-environmental movement talked about earlier in the article. It also explains why we aren’t ready, as a population, to really do something about climate change. The article concludes by discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the global warming movement regarding public education.

The second website is a short video made by the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) about our ocean’s acidity. Lisa Suatoni from the NRDC, Ken Caldeira from the Carnegie Institution and Ove Hoegh-Guldberg from the University of Queensland are informing us on what the problem is and what does global warming does to our oceans. There sayings are: When carbon dioxide is absorbed by the ocean, the water's acid level rises. If this level gets too high, some sea creatures that build protective shells can't grow as fast or even have their shells dissolve, threatening the entire food chain.

How are these articles related? It is simple, Global warming is there main problem, both of these articles are written or have been inspired by some highly recognize names (NRDC, McGill Journal of Education). Global warming is supposed to be a problem that we can fix, but the first article explains why aren’t we capable of fixing it right ahead .The second article just states what are the effects of an increase of CO2 for our oceans and how it affects them. But the main theme stays the same in both of these articles. The problem with that is that global warming touches every single living thing on this planet, especially human beings .This why the worst thing we could do is take this situation for granted. We have to use all possible resources that we have or every possible solutions stated in these articles to counter global warming as hard as we can.
