Pollutants key to climate fix

Scientists have recorded that the global temperature has been rising constantly since the industrial revolution. Though some speculate it to be a pattern that goes around every 100 thousand years, it is still becoming a huge problem as our technology advances.According to Jeff Tollefson's article, reducing the methane and black carbon emmisions could immensely decrease the projected warming by 2050. Not only will the Earth cool down, a 75% reduction of black carbon and 40% reduction of methan emmisions can save precisely 700,000 to 4.7 million premature deaths caused by air pollution caused by these chemicals. Another benefit of reducing the emissions of these chemicals is that it could boost the global crop production by 1-4%, which can feed and save people. On an important note, this was meant only to be a patch, to prolong the planet's life and increase the chances of being able to come up with a proper permanent solution.
